The seventh season of the Prague Clarinet Days festival will open with the young wind quintet Belfiato. The ensemble, whose members have been awarded many prizes as soloists, perform in prominent Czech orchestras such as the Czech Philharmonic, PKF – Prague Philharmonic, and the National Theatre Orchestra. After the classical Mozart´s introduction, the audience can look forward to a refreshing program that includes works by Pavel Hass, Maurice Ravel, and Dario Milhaud. The program will be concluded in an original way by launching the premiere of the composition Kvintet, written for this festival by young female composer Markéta Conková.

A concert of young Polish female musicians – Anna Miernik on piano and Barbara 
Borowicz on clarinet, who performed their debuts at Carnegie Hall in New York
and the Opera House in Sydney – will present a program consisting of works by
the most prominent Polish composers – Chopin, Penderecki, and Lutosławski.
These master´s compositions are rarely presented within one concert program.
A technically demanding and sporadically interpreted composition, Techno-Parade
by Guilliam Conesson, will be presented at the end of the concert evening.
The unique interpretation requires that the piano be played in an unconventional 
way – with a special string brush.

Fans of authentically interpreted old music will undoubtedly enjoy this concert by
Clarimonia Ensemble from Bamberg, Germany. Clarimonia Ensemble will present
compositions ranging from the Baroque to early Romanticism, playing historical
music instruments that not only look beautiful but also sound great. The
audience will be able to listen to /and also see/ Baroque and Classicist clarinets,
basset horns, and the uniqueclarinet d´amore.

In this traditional concert, regularly favored by the audience, the residents of master classes and their teachers perform together. The audience can look forward to performances ranging from a classical repertoire interpreted by young clarinet players from the Czech Republic, France, Latvia, Slovakia and Turkey, to the Festival Clarinet Quartet that will play along with German clarinet soloist Sabine Schmitz and also the performances by superb soloists/teachers Michel Lethiec /France/ and Harri Mäki /Finland/. Each concert’s particular program becomes a “living organism” created and rehearsed during the master classes.

The ceremonial final concert of the Prague Clarinet Days Festival in which superb Czech as well as foreign solo musicians - Laure Paris (France), Harri Mäki (Finland), Jana Černohouzová,
Věra Kestřánková, Vlastimil Mareš, Irvin Venyš, and others - will interpret a classical repertoire of popular composers. 
The spontaneous Clarinet Festival Ensemble conducted by Vít Spilka will perform a jazz inspired program in the second half of the concert.

A concert of the young incoming generation of Czech clarinet ladies Veronika Coganová and Tereza Podsedníková who, along with Sabine Schmitz, a German clarinet player, will perform popular clarinet and piano pieces from Czech as well as world composers.

This famous Quintet b minor by Brahms will be performed by the Selini Quartet and Irvin Venyš one of the most highly regarded Czech clarinet players. The quartet is comprised of four female musicians of various nationalities and was founded in Vienna. The Selini Quartet was founded in Vienna.
The Czech - Slovak Trio Clavio, a female chamber ensemble whose members are all highly respected soloists, will offer the audience a journey into the realm of jazz and folk music.
